Hey, I’m Abigail! I’m a self-proclaimed serial hobbyist living in Columbia, SC with my son, husband, cats, dogs, and chickens.

I founded Charted Stitches Studio in 2024 after wanting to create heirloom needlepoint Christmas stockings for my family. I was shocked to find out the cost of traditional needlepoint canvases. There was no way I could afford to make 4 stockings at $300-$400 a piece JUST for the canvas.

As a serial hobbyist with a background in graphic design and front end development, I knew there had to be a better (and more affordable) way. After scouring the internet for digital needlepoint and cross stitch charts, I couldn’t find anything that I was 100% in love with, so of course, I opted to DIY. I designed my first two stockings and fell in love with the entire process.

Now I share my love for needlepoint and design with others through counted needlepoint charts!
